A Vision For Hope had the opportunity to partner up with the Malden City Council and the Malden Recreation department to host a 3vs3 basketball tournament for Malden's youth in memory of Jaden Brito-White. We are extremely grateful for the opportunity to be apart of this event!
The photo above contains Joey Simonelli the owner of A Vision For Hope and his long term friend Ally, While growing up as Malden's youth these two men experienced obstacles in their child hood, Joey Simonelli found himself struggling with substance use disorder at a young age, Ally experienced the loss of childhood friends due to the disease of addiction and unhealthy lifestyle choices.
CDC estimates 108,000 overdose deaths among persons aged 14-18 in 2021, our teenage population if affected by substance use disorder just as our adult population is.
