Exercise and mental health

Did you know? People who exercise regularly have better mental and emotional wellbeing, it not only boosts your mood, concentration and alertness, but improves our cardiovascular and overall physical health.

Often times those struggling with mental health and/or substance use disorder find themselves struggling with a low level of energy, lack of appetite and a hard time falling or staying asleep. By exercising regularly you can increase your energy level throughout the day, increase your appetite and promote better sleep. Regular exercise can have a positive impact on depression and anxiety.

Exercise is natural and very effective, it releases endorphins that may have been suppressed by using drugs and alcohol. No matter your physical physique, you can get started. You'll not only improve your physical condition but you'll be improving your overall mental wellbeing.
